Mangalore, Dec 28: The annual day celebrations of parish units of Indian Christian Youth Movement (ICYM), Young Christian Students (YCS), Christian Life Community (CLC) and Catholic Sabha of God the Holy Spirit parish, Bajal, here was held at parish school grounds on Sunday December 27 evening.
Bajal parish priest Fr Anthony V Lewis presided. Diocesan ICYM director Fr Anil D’Souza was the chief guest. Bajal parish council vice-president Michael Lobo was the guest of honour.
The programme began with a hymn. Young parish achievers Nishitha Fernandes and Joyce D’Souza were honoured on the occasion.
The parishioners staged variety entertainment programmes. City-based Asal Kalakar, Konkani drama troupe staged play playwright Nellu Permannur ‘Bolpo’. The play was directed by Shaun.
Alwyn D’Souza welcomed the gathering. Sunil Crasta proposed the vote of thanks. Mareena Seema Sequeira compered the programme.
