Udupi: NSS Special Camp Organized by Dr A V Baliga Institute Concludes

The seven-day NSS annual camp, jointly organized by Dr A V Baliga Institute, Harady, and Government First Grade College, Hiriyadka, at Sri Durgaparameshwari Aided Higher Primary School, Mandarti, near here, concluded on Tuesday December 29. 
 
Mangalore University past NSS co-ordinator Prof Gopal was the chief guest at the valedictory function held on Tuesday.
 


Speaking on the occasion, Prof Gopal said that the students who take part in NSS special camps accept challenges and succeed in their attempt.  He explained citing examples how a set goal can be achieved by grit, determination, and persistent attempts. 

He also advised students to read the valuable book ‘The Lost Lecture’ and other motivational books in order to achieve success in life.
 
Bharatiya Kisan Sangh district president H Vittal Shetty presided over the programme.
 
Zilla panchayat member Krishna Naik, Mandarti Sri Durgaparameshwari Aided Higher Primary School correspondent K Mahesh Udupa, head teacher Hemavati, Sharada College retired principal K Ganapayya Shetty, Dr A V Baliga Group of education institutions director Dr P V Bhandary, Hiriyadka Government First Grade College principal Dr Padekall Vishnu Bhat, and NSS unit leaders were present on the occasion.
 
Hiriyadka Government First Grade College lecturer Asha Barkoor and Dr A V Baliga Institutes lecturer Nirmala Shetty, camp participants Veena Naik, Sandesh Kumar T V, Satyanarayan, and Sugandi shared their camp experiences.
 
Government First Grade College NSS officer Vishweshwar Gaonkar welcomed the gathering.  Dr A V Baliga Institute NSS officer Naveen Kumar M proposed the vote of thanks.  Camp participants Chaya C Naik and Mamatha compered the programme.
