Bangalore : CM Rules out Cabinet Reshuffle

Bangalore/Shimoga, Jan 9 (DHNS): Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa has ruled out Cabinet reshuffle in the near future.

“The party leadership has not given any direction in this regard. Any change in the Cabinet and boards and corporations will happen only after March, subsequent to presentation of the State budget,” Yeddyurappa told reporters here on Friday.

Reacting to the JD(S) supremo Deve Gowda’s statement that he will not rest until the government is brought down, the CM said that only people can decide on the fate of a government.

Political conspiracy

Yeddyurappa, while speaking to media persons in Shimoga accused the Congress and JD(S) leaders of instigating farmers against the government.

Terming the protests by farmers as a political conspiracy to destablise his government, the Chief Minister expressed surprise over peasants staging protests despite getting assurances on their demands and securing unconditional release of arrested farmers.

“Ryots should realise that politicians are using them as pawns to meet their selfish ends. They should also know that development is impossible without industrialisation,” he remarked, urging farmers not to indulge in politics.
