Mangaluru/Udupi, Jun 13: The PU English examination, which was postponed due to lockdown relating to proliferation of coronavirus pandemic, is being held on June 18.
In order to ensure that PU examination is held in a free and fair environment and to avoid any illegal and unwarranted incidents and towards helping smooth conduct of the examination, prohibitory order has been promulgated for an area of 200 metres around all the 51 examination centres in Dakshina Kannada district and 21 more in Udupi district.

The deputy commissioners of these two districts have issued orders announcing these areas as prohibited areas under section 144 of Criminal Procedure Code. Photocopy shops have also been barred from functioning for a radius of 200 metres from the examination centres during the period of the examination.
