Bengaluru: D K Shivakumar asks party leaders to make swearing-in tremendously successful

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Jun 19: D K Shivakumar is scheduled to take over charge as Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president on July 2. It is gathered that he is conducting a survey on the level of response of party leaders to the proposed swearing-in ceremony.

Shivakumar is learnt to have fanned off his close ones to different districts to assess the level of efforts being put by the leaders to the success of his swearing-in ceremony. He is collecting the preparations being made by the district leaders for the programme.

D K Shivakumar

The party is preparing for a live relay of the swearing-in ceremony at 10,000 places. He also has been provided with the information about district level leaders who have not taken the matter seriously. He has warned the district leaders, asking them to deem the said programme as that of the party and contribute to the tremendous success of the programme.

Shivakumar wants to ensure that the programme is watched by a huge audience to assert his supremacy over others. He has called for a meeting of former office bearers and district presidents of the party on June 22. The meeting has been convened on the basis of information conveyed to him by his close ones from different districts. He has warned the leaders that when choosing office bearers of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee, the behaviour and response of the leaders will also be taken into account.

Real leaders do not need to force people to participate in his take over of the party position. This itself shows that there are people within Congress party who want him to fail as President. He had to ask people to make it grand celebration. After all, what are the chances of them to progress if they make this person who is on bail in corruption cases? All said & done, Siddaramayya is the right person.
