Puttur: Fatal Fall from Train - Job Aspirant from Taluk Dies

Puttur, Apr 30: A person from Matha village near Uppinangady in the taluk lost his life after a fatal fall from the train early morning on Thursday April 29 near Ankola in Uttara Kannada district.

He has been identified as Mustaq (35), son of S M Tankal. He was part of a six-member group moving to Goa for attending an interview for jobs in Saudi Arabia. Mustaq had boarded the train at Mangalore on Wednesday night, along with Shaffi Alake, Farooq Turkalike, Ismail Kalleri and two others from Puttur, for facing the interview held on Thursday and Friday.

Reportedly, Mustaq was sitting by the side of the door of the compartment for want of a proper seat. He was dozing off in the early morning, when he lost his balance and fell down from the train at Ankola. He is survived by wife and a child.
