South Mumbai MP alleges of social media hacking, books complaint

Mumbai, Dec 1: MP from South Mumbai Arvind Sawant has filed a complaint alleging hacking of his social media account. In his complaint to the cybercrime unit, the MP stated that someone had created a fake social media profile in his name was demanding people in his friend list for money.

Sawant also requested his friends to block the person. The police are likely to file an FIR. Sawant belongs to Shiv Sena and earlier held the position as minister of heavy industries and public enterprises since 2019. He has been a Lok Sabha member since 2014. However, he quit from his post as a union minister in November 2019.
