Udupi, May 26: Four members of a family (mother and her three children) from Moodabettu Guttu in Katpady near here, lost their lives together in a road accident that occurred in Goa on Monday May 24, sources from the distressed family said.
They have been identified as Ratna Shetty (62), her children, Yogish Shetty (32), Suresh Shetty (30), and Dinesh Shetty (28). The family members, carrying on business at Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, since the last several years, had visited their native place to take part in the engagement ceremony of Suresh Shetty. The car, in which the four were returning to Ratnagiri on Monday via Goa, collided with a truck at around 3.45 pm.
Two persons died on the spot and two others succumbed at a hospital later, the sources added. Yogish had married two years ago.
