Udupi, Jun 7 (The Hindu): Sukanya Kalasa from Udupi and Geeta Vasanth from Dharwad have been chosen for the Kadengodlu Kavya Prashasti 2010.
A press release issued here stated that Ms. Kalasa and Dr. Vasanth would be sharing the award for their unpublished (separate) anthologies of poems.
This award, given annually, has been instituted by the Rashtrakavi Govinda Pai Samshodhana Kendra, the release said.
The Sediyapu Award, also instituted by the Rashtrakavi Govinda Pai Samshodhana Kendra, would be presented to writer Shathavadhani R. Ganesh at a function scheduled to be held in Karkala on Tuesday, the press release said.
