Mangalore, Jun 7: The solo art exhibition by retired art teacher and senior artist Ka Va Acharya titled ‘Moortadinda Amoortadedege’ was held at Prasad Art Gallery from Friday June 4 to Sunday June 6.

 
Dr M Mohan Alva, chairman, Moodbidri-based Alva’s Education Foundation, inaugurated the exhibition by drawing on the canvas.
 
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Alva said that the sensitivities and background of an artist are depicted in his paintings.
 
G Ramakrishna Acharya, entrepreneur and promoter of Moodbidri-based SKF Industrial Training Institute, in his presidential address, said that the retired arts teacher and veteran artist had touched the hearts of several of his students during his teaching career.
 
Prasad Art Gallery proprietor Kota Prasad Alva, Dakshina Kannada District Arts Teachers Association president Shobha Bhaskaran, and Ka Va Acharya’s old student Vijaylaxmi Shetty, whom he taught 45 years ago, were present on the occasion.
 
Ganesh Somayaji welcomed the gathering.  Ka Va Acharya proposed vote of thanks and Dhananjay Moodbidri compered the programme.
