Mangalore : 'Beary Samskrithika Kala Mela' on June 9


Mangalore, June 8 (DHNS): Beary Kala Ranga will organise 'Beary samskrithika Kala mela 2010' at Town Hall on June 9. 

Addressing a press meet here on Monday, President Abdul Azeez Baikampady said as part of the 13th anniversary of Beary Kala ranga, Kala mela is being organised. “We will organise various programmes across the state till December with an aim to highlight Beary culture and showcase its rich heritage to the youth and preserve the culture to the future generation. We will organise street plays, kathaprasanga, folk songs. The programme will conclude with the concept of Beary grama.”

He said Beary Kala Ranga will organise ‘Un theen 2010,’  wherein eatables of Beary community will be exhibited at the Kadri Park. Beary Grama will be created at KPT Maidan.
There will be Beary poets meet and release of CD in Mulky by the end of June. Beary Kalavidara Kammata will be held in July in Mangalore. ‘Pal then,’ a cultural programme will be held in Puttur. ‘Orme,’ a conference will be held at Katipalla in the month of August. There will be ‘Ifthar Koota’ in Bantwal in August. ‘Pernalo gauji,’ a cultural programme will be held at Ullal and ‘Chirikali’ in Sullia in the month of September. ‘Beary ayana’ will be held at Navunda and ‘Muthu manikya,’ a childrens talent show will be held at Moodbidri in October.

A seminar will be held in Bangalore and ‘Dayirthi Davath,’ a cultural programme will be held in Chikmagalur in November. ‘Beary samskrithika Kala mela’ will be inaugurated by District-in-Charge Minister Krishna Palemar at 4 pm. A hand book on these programmes will be released by MP Nalin Kumar Kateel.

As part of the inaugural programme, there will be Beary musical show by Beary singers, staging of ‘Beary kathaprasanga’ and Beary Samskrithika pradarshana along with folk songs, ‘Kavali’ and ‘Oppane songs.’
