Mangalore: Bendore Parish Council Felicitates Clergies

Mangalore, Jun 13: The parish council of St Sebastian’s parish, Bendore here felicitated all the clergies of the parish, on Sunday June 13 to mark the conclusion of year dedicated to priests worldwide by Pope Benedict XVI. 

St John Mary Vianney is the patron of priests. Bendore parish priest Fr Peter S Noronha presided over the Eucharistic celebration along with assistant parish priest Fr Sylvester Vincent Lobo, resident priests Fr Boniface Pinto, Fr Michael Santhumayor and Fr Lesley Shenoy.

After the Holy Mass, parish council office bearers honoured all the clergies by presenting them each with Mysore Peta, the tradition headgear of Karnataka, portrait of St John Mary Vianney and roses.

Fr Boniface Pinto spoke on behalf of the honoured priests.  A large number of parishioners were present on the occasion.

    Hats off to my Parish Council Members and Hearty congratulation to all the clergies. I miss my parish along with Most Rev. Fr. Peter S. Noronha, fr. S.V. Lobo, Fr. Boniface Pinto and Fr. M. Santhumayor and last but not the least Fr. Shenoy. The environment of my parish, the choir group, the church hall, the open stage and the staff in one word I miss them all. The missing place by me from the bottom of my heart is THE MATT right front of the church portico the place is famous known as "Matt Committee". Simply love the time I spent with my Bendur church friends and the daily mass. KUDOS to Parish Council active members.

    Bendore Parish council Members Kudos to you all. The Honor you bestowed upon your clergies is timely and praise worthy.
    Can other Parish Council Members follow suit???
