Udupi, Jun 21: Dr H S Ballal, Pro-Chancellor of Manipal University, released a book on ‘Essentials of Biochemistry for Medical Students’ and Dr K Ramnarayan, vice-chancellor, released another book ‘Handbook of Biochemistry for Allied and Nursing Students’ at the Manipal.Edu building here, recently.
Both the books have been authored by Dr Shivananda Nayak, KMC alumnus and former faculty member, with Dr Krishnananda Prabhu and Vinutha R Bhat, faculty of biochemistry department, as co-authors.
Releasing the book, Dr Ballal emphasized the need for faculty members to take more interest in bringing out such publications.
Dr G K Prabhu, registrar, expressed the desire that a similar book be published for the benefit of students of bio-medical engineering.
