Udupi, Mar 5: Udupi Spartans emerged as the winners of the Canara Premier League 2021.

Canara Bank Recreation Club, Circle Office, Manipal organized a tennis hardball cricket tournament 'Canara Premier League 2021' for the staff members of the Bank at A L N Rao, MGM College ground, Udupi and MIT ground at Manipal on Saturday, February 27 and Sunday, February 28.

Rama Naik, circle head, Manipal circle inaugurated the tournament by batting. Deputy general managers of the circle office, Padmavathi and Pradeep Bhaktha, executives and other employees were the part of the function. Nearly 16 teams participated from the places like Goa, Karwar, Shivamogga, Davanagere, Udupi and Manipal.

In the end, Udupi Spartans emerged winners of the Canara Premier League 2021 while Shivamogga Royals were the runners up.

At the valedictory ceremony, Rama Naik congratulated the winners and appealed to all the Canarites to take active participation in the entire development of the Bank business as the FAG end of the financial year is approaching.
