Kadaba: Girl playing on swing suffocates to death

Kadaba, Mar 6: In an incident which happened at Yenekallu village in Kadaba taluk, a girl lost her life after the rope of a swing made up of sari on which she was playing tightened around her neck.

The unfortunate victim of the incident was Shruthi (11), daughter of Mutlajadka Babiu Ajikala from Yenekallu. She was a fifth standard student of Yenekallu government higher primary school.

On Friday, the girl was at home. She was playing in the afternoon on a swing made of a sari tied to the branches of a guava tree near her house. On that occasion, the sari accidentally got twisted around her neck, as a result of which she lost her life.

The deceased girl has left behind her parents, three brothers and a sister. A case about the incident was filed in Subrahmanya police station.
