Mangaluru: ‘Pedal for Green’ cycle tour flagged-off

Mangaluru, Mar 15: The flag-off ceremony of ‘Pedal for Green’ by Shravan Kumar was held at Mannagudda on Monday March 15.

‘Pedal for Green’ is initiated by Rotary club, JCI Mangaluru and Jyothi Cycle and Fitness Mangaluru.

During the ‘Pedal for Green’, Shravan Kumar will travel 6,000 kilometres covering 10 states, starting from Mangaluru to Imphal in Manipur.

He will be travelling Mangaluru – Goa – Mumbai – Nagpur – Gwalior – Jhansi – Agra – Haridwar – Lucknow – Prayagraj – Varanasi – Siliguri – Guwahati – Imphal. The cycling will be for 70 days. Earlier in the year 2018, Shravan Kumar travelled 10,000 kilometres from Kashmir to Kanyakumari to create awareness on Swachh Bharat.

Rotary district governor major donor Ranganath Bhat, JCI zone president Soujanya Hegde and others were present.
