Mangaluru, Mar 15: Rachana, The Catholic Chamber of Commerce and Industry members met on Sunday March 14 at St Sebastian Church, Community Hall Bendur, here.

After the Covid pandemic, this was the first all members meeting held. About a hundred members with family were present for this meeting.

Rachana president, Elias Sanctis welcomed the gathering. The meeting began with invocation by family members and their children. The president welcomed the day’s guest speaker, CA S S Nayak and all the members and family who had gathered.

CA S S Nayak was formally introduced by vice-president Vincent Cutinho. This was followed by CA S S Nayak explaining the highlights of the Union Budget 2021. It was a very interesting and informative session and benefited the members present. There was also an interactive session to enable members to ask questions and clarify their doubts.

As a token of appreciation, the women present were felicitated with flowers to mark the 'Women’s Day Celebrations'. This was appreciated by all the women who were present.

CA S S Nayak was also felicitated by Rachana as a token of gratitude.

The programme was compered by John Monteiro, the former president of Rachana. President Elias Sanctis, secretary Nelson Monteiro, treasurer Felix Pinto and CA S S Nayak were present on the dais.

Nelson Monteiro proposed the vote of thanks. The meeting ended with dinner for all those who were present.
