Kundapur, Apr 23: Kundapur market was deserted following the state government order to control coronavirus. Most of the commercial activities were suspended. Pedestrians were very few and the same goes for the public transport. Only shops selling essential commodities were operating. Hotels were only allowed to have takeaway service. Some of the hotels were closed. Other commercial establishments were completely closed.

People line up to seek permission for weddings:

People were seen coming to the office of the tahsildar to seek permission to organise wedding ceremonies. There were also those who have already scheduled their weddings seeking permission from the administration. A large number of people also submitted applications for permission at the taluk office on Thursday.

People were unhappy as shops were closed and they were unable to buy gold, clothes and other such items for weddings.
