Kaup: Hounded by mental problems, senior citizen ends life

Kaup, Apr 27: Maxim D'Souza (75) from Katapady Manipur, who was frustrated by the mental problems he was suffering from, ended his life on April 25.

Maxim was suffering from mental problems for the last 15 years. He was being treated for his health problems in a private hospital in Udupi. On April 25, he had gone to bed after dinner. On Monday morning, it was found that he had killed himself.

On the basis of a complaint filed by Valerian D'Souza, son of the deceased, Kaup police have registered a case.
