Mangaluru, Apr 27: The dreaded pandemic does not spare even the police who strictly follow corona norms. Ten police personnel within the city police commissionerate have been found coronavirus positive. The police commissioner stated that the health condition of all of them is stable.

All the ten had got the first shot of the vaccination. As two among them experienced some health symptoms, they have been admitted into hospital while the others are in home isolation. The commissioner said that he has been personally keeping track of their health condition.

In the meantime, a 68-year-old woman from Nekkilady village in Puttur taluk who the hospital sources had confirmed to have died of coronavirus, has tested negative. The lady, Isamma, was suffering from breathing problems and had been admitted into a hospital in Mangaluru, had died on Sunday. The doctors had said she died of corona, after which her funeral was held as per norms meant for such patients.

But the throat swab test report received on Monday by Isamma's grandson Naushad, in his mobile phone on Monday stated that her test report was negative. The family is dismayed at this faux pas.
