Udupi: Ashrith College of Nursing declared as containment zone

Udupi, Apr 27: Ashrith College of Nursing, Kota in Kotathattu village, Brahmavar taluk has been declared as a containment zone as eight people have tested positive for Covid-19. The hostel and office which are located within a 100-metre radius from the nursing home are also declared as containment zone.

Surrounding areas comprising of about 40 houses and 15 shops which are within a radius of 200 metres from the nursing home are declared as a buffer zone.

Raju K, KAS assistant commissioner has been appointed as the overall in charge of effective implementation of Covid-19 control measures. The incident commander would take necessary actions as specified in the containment zone notifications issued under Epidemic Disease Act 1897, and various notifications on containment zones enacted since the outbreak of Covid.
