Mangaluru: Suzlon company donates land for panchayat road construction

Mangaluru, Apr 27: Suzlon company has donated five and a half-acre of land to Palimaru gram panchayat to construct a 1.7 km long road from Supriya Nursery in Nandikur village, Padubidri-Karkala state highway till Nandikur, Shree Durgaparameshwari Temple

The land was transferred to the office of the Mulki sub-registrar on April 27. The road will benefit people living in the vicinity. MII Industries Pvt Ltd has agreed to construct the road and to bear the cost of construction.

The original documents were handed over by Ashok Kumar Shetty, head of Aspen SEZ (Suzlon) to Palimar panchayat president, Gayathri Prabhu in the presence of development officer, Sathish, panchayat member, Rayeshwar Pai, MII Industries Pvt Ltd manager, Prajwal Shetty and advocate, Navin Chandra Salian.
