Mangaluru: New Covid guidelines to be implemented in district - Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary

Mangaluru, Apr 29: District in charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary said that the new Covid guidelines have to be implemented in the district in order to bring the pandemic under control and also take action so that farmers, industries and building construction activities do not get affected.

Poojary held a meeting at the auditorium of DC office in the city with regards to controlling the fast-spreading Covid-19 pandemic. He also said that comprehensive details of available beds in government and private hospitals should be uploaded on online portal and allot bed as per need.

"Covid vaccination should be given to all above the age of 60. Action should be taken to stock the vaccine as the registration to give vaccine to those above 18 has already begun," said the minister.

Minister Angara said that Covid patients should receive quality treatment.

DC Rajendra KV said that there is no scarcity of oxygen in the district so far. Also we have enough stock of medicine that is required to treat Covid patients.
