Puttur: Uppinangady police arrest accused in attempted ATM theft case

Puttur, May 1: Uppinangady police have arrested Sameer alias Ammi on Saturday May 1, a resident of Kadaba, for attempting theft in an ATM of SBI on April 28.

As per complaint filed by SBI manager Shridhar, some unknown person had attempted theft in the ATM, and damaged the machine and 3 CCTVs installed in the room between April 27 at 6.40 pm and next day morning April 28. The damaged was approximately worth Rs 6 lac.

Uppinangady police had registered a case No 39/2021 under IPC act and KPDL act 1981.

The investigation was led by Bhasker Okkaliga IPS, under guidance of IPS Kumar Puttur and the investigation team consisted Kumar Kamble, PSI Uppinangady, probationery PSI Anil Kumar D, and staff Jagadish A, and Shivraj.
