Kundapur: Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary visits Covid hospital, conducts inspection

Kundapur, May 2: Minister of Muzrai and backward classes welfare, Kota Srinivas Poojary visited Covid hospital in the city on Sunday and conducted the inspection.

In a meeting held at Kundapur guest house later, he held discussions with officials and doctors and obtained detailed information on steps taken for the prevention of coronavirus.

Speaking to reporters he said that the second dose of vaccination is being administered for above 60 years and 45 years. “Those above 18 years and who have registered online will be vaccinated within the next two days,” he said.

“There is no scarcity of ambulances at present. But we brought on board private ambulances on a contract basis. A decision on ambulances fitted with ventilators will be taken after holding a meeting in the next two days.”

“We have discussed in the meeting that we will work together when we face any issues. A discussion with the officials will be held when the quarantine duration of the MLA gets over,” he said.

Sub-divisional officer K Raju, tahsildar, Anandappa Nayak, BJP block president, Shanker Ankadakatte, state vice president of food corporation Kiran Kodgi, municipal council president, Veena, Bhaskar Mendon, councillor Mohan Das Shenoy, Dr Nagesh, Dr Robert, district panchayat secretary, Sadananda Uppinakudru and Sathish Poojary were present.

    At this time of serious cases of corona ,a artificial breathing system is a must in every ambulance.Afterall one transfers a patient,not any animals.one never know hwo can become sick and need artificial breathing.
