Bengaluru: Give India offers support to set up 500-bed Covid Care Centre

Bengaluru, May 3: Deputy chief minister Dr C N Ashwath Narayan, who has been appointed as the head of the State Covid Task Force held consultations on Monday with regard to utilizing CSR (corporate social responsibility) funds to strengthen the Covid care infrastructure.

The task force chairperson Dr Narayan discussed with Atul Satija, founder of the Give India Foundation about augmenting the medical infrastructure to Covid Care Centers in the state.

As an outcome of the meeting, Give India has assured that it would support the state government in creating a Transit Covid Care Center of 500 beds at Palace Grounds in Bengaluru and involve in further expansion also.

Dr Beluru Raghavendra Shetty, chairperson, Karnataka State Handicraft Development Board, Dr Shalini Rajneesh, additional chief secretary, Vinod KP, managing director, The/Nudge Foundation and K V Mahesh, advisor, CSR, Government of Karnataka were present.
