Bengaluru, May 9: The MRN Foundation of mines and geology minister Murugesh R Nirani, who is representing the Bilagi assembly constituency in Bagalkot district, has been helping the people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic by supplying free oxygen and other necessary materials besides providing ambulance services to Bilagi taluk hospital.
The MRN Foundation has also been providing timely medical care and medical consultancy services to the people through leading doctors. Leading cardiologist Dr Dayanand B Yaligar has been roped in to visit Bilagi taluk hospital twice a week to treat patients and offer online consultancy for five days. The Foundation’s health officer Dr Shivakumar Virakthimut will cooperate with Covid Centre and hospital doctors.
The MRN Foundation and the local BJP unit have provided five taxis to help admit infected patients to Covid Care Centre and for dropping those recovered from the virus to their houses. Two ambulances are being used to help those suffering from breathing problem and those in serious condition. The affected people can avail of the service by contacting the helplines.
A 100-Bed Covid Care Centre with all facilities has been opened at Morarji Desai Residential School in Bilagi to treat Covid-19 patients suffering mild symptoms. The health department has been providing necessary guidance to asymptomatic patients in home isolation.
The Bilagi taluk hospital has been converted into a full-fledged Covid hospital to treat patients with severe symptoms and breathing problem. This hospital with 50 oxygenated beds and three ventilators has been providing quality treatment to patients.
The MRN Foundation has been distributing free hand sanitiser to corona warriors such as healthcare workers, policemen and pourakarmikas.
The Nirani foundation along with taluk nodal officers and BJP functionaries running 24x7 helplines to provide necessary information on Covid-19 treatment, Covid Care Centre, ambulance and emergency taxi service.
