Bengaluru, May 10: The central crime branch chief, Sandeep Patil, said that the ongoing investigation has revealed that three private hospitals in the city were involved with bed blocking business. He revealed that the needle of suspicion for having masterminded the scandal is now pointing towards the staff of the Arogya Mitra scheme in the hospitals, and that they will be questioned.

Raids had been conducted on eight war rooms in the city a few days back and data had been collected. On the basis of the information collected, 16 hospitals were raided on Saturday and figures about the corona infected persons admitted there were collected. After matching this information, four hospitals were raided on Sunday," he stated.

The 17 staff of the city corporation war room who had been suspended on the allegation of involvement with the scandal, would be reporting for duty from today. They were acted against on the basis of allegations made by MP Tejasvi Surya and MLA about blocking scandal going on in the hospitals.

These staff were provided by an outsourcing firm, Crystal Infosystems and Services, to the BBMP. Officials of the concern met Covid south zone war room in-charge, Tulasi Maddineni, and requested her saying that the suspended staff had not got involved with any of the irregularities and requested to allow them to resume their duties.
