Puttur, May 11: A woman who was recovering after giving birth to twins breathed her last due to heavy bleeding on the night of Sunday May 9. She has been identified as Poojitha (31), wife of Kemmatadka Manoj, Mundya, Ishwaramangala.
Poojitha was the daughter of Moolemane Vishwnath Gowda from Varusapambettady village. She had got admitted into a private hospital here for delivery. She gave birth to twins on Sunday morning. She was in good health. In the afternoon, she suffered from heavy bleeding. As such, she was shifted to a private hospital in Mangaluru. By evening, she had shown impressive recovery. However, during the late night hours, she again suffered from heavy bleeding and passed away.
Both the twins, one male and the other female, are in good health. Poojitha had secured her BEd degree with distinction recently.
