Mangaluru, May 12: Catholic Sabha in a programme held at the Bishop’s house and blessed by Bishop of Mangaluru Fr Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, distributed food kits to 124 churches in the diocese on May 12.
Catholic Sabha central president Stany Lobo welcomed the gathering and said that 1,080 kits were donated and that plans to distribute 1,080 kits more are underway. The bishop invoked God's blessings and prayed that the underprivileged receive food from the kits. “May the Catholic Sabha extend more help to those in need,” he added.
Daijiworld founder and editor-in-chief, Walter Nandalike said that Catholic Sabha has been helping people for a very long time and hope it serves in the future as well.
Spiritual director, Fr Mathew Vas, MCC Bank chairman, Anil Lobo, Raju Steven D'Souza, vice president, Steven Rodrigues, treasurer, Melida Rodrigues, zonal presidents, office bearers and media friends were present.
Catholic Sabha Mangaluru Pradesh chief secretary, Alphonso Fernandes compered the programme and rendered the vote of thanks.
