Akhilesh Kotian appointed president of Udupi District Fishermen Congress

Udupi, Jul 29: Akhilesh Kotian has been appointed as the president of Udupi District Fishermen Congress.

In an appointment order issued by Manjunath B Sunagar, general secretary, Karnataka District Fishermen, Akhilesh has been appointed as president of Udupi unit. Former minister Vinay Kumar Sorake, and Udupi district Congress president Ashok Kumar Kodavoor had recommended the name of Akhilesh for the presidential post. National working president of All India Fishermen Congress U R Sabhapathi issued the order of appointment.

Akhilesh had formerly worked as president of Kaup Block youth Congress. He is an active member of the party and has been active in the party activities.
