Kundapur, Aug 17: A young auto rickshaw driver missing since Monday August 16 afternoon was found to have ended his life. His lifeless body was found at government plantations, beside Vakwadi-Kalavara road here on Tuesday August 17.
The deceased is identified as Ravichandra Kulal (33), a resident of Vakwadi, Navanagar.
Ravichandra from Vakwadi rickshaw stand, parked his auto rickshaw at Vakwadi Navanagar curve and went missing. His friends and family members who became suspicious after reading his messages with deep meaning on his WhatsApp status, called him on his phone. But he did not receive the calls.
Finally, they went searching for him in groups at Vakwadi. About 200 to 300 people were searching for him till late night. His body was found on Tuesday morning in between the plantations.
Kundapur sub inspector Sadashiva Gavarooji and staff visited the spot. The reason for the extreme step is not known. It is said that he had purchased a nylon rope on Monday morning.
Ravichandra was married and has an eight-month-old son. He has left behind his parents, three brothers and friends. He was the vice president of Heggarabail Yuvashakthi Mitra Mandala. He was an active organizer, said sources.
