Mangaluru, Aug 18: Ramu Salian had sung comedy song that was tuned after the devotional song hailing Goddess Durgaparameshwari of Kateel. The song had become viral and he was also trolled.
Realizing that he was wrong in mimicking devotional song and tuning comedy song after the devotional song, Ramu Salian who sung the comic songs, has tendered an apology. He said that he decided to apologise as the people of Tulunadu feel insulted because of his song.
Salian, noting that the people of Tulunadu are unhappy on this issue, said he had committed a grave mistake without realising it, and therefore came forward to apologise for his mistake.
Salian said that he was recently contacted on phone by a Kabaddi coach of Moodbidri Alva's College and explained where he had gone wrong "I realised thereafter about my mistake. I did not do this with the purpose of insulting the Goddess. I committed this mistake without realising it, and therefore I tender my apology," he explained.
At the same time, he noted that some people had derided him by using abusive words, adding that this is unlike the Hindus. "A Hindu would have come to me to inform me that I was wrong, duly advising me to correct myself. But those who use foul language and try to dent the self-confidence of a person cannot be a Hindu," he stated.
