Mangaluru: Flights to UAE become operational after a long gap

Mangaluru, Aug 19: Flights to the UAE, which had been suspended because of the coronavirus second wave, resumed on Wednesday August 18.

The flight which leaves for the UAE at 2.45 pm went to Thiruvananthapuram and then to Dubai.

With the setting up of the rapid RT-PCR world class testing facility at the airport here, the decks were cleared for the flights to the Gulf. All the passengers underwent rapid tests within the six hours of boarding the flights, at the facility installed in association with Apollo Hospitals at the airport.
