Chitradurga, Aug 20: Two unidentified persons killed a textile merchant in Holalkere town before escaping. The incident happened on Thursday August 19.
The victim was Mool Singh (29), a native of Rajasthan. He had newly opened his 'Priyadarshini Textiles' on Hosadurga road in the town. He used to stay at Ramagiri in Holalkere taluk for the last five years and used to visit Holalkere every day and return after business.
Mool Singh had closed down the shop for the day and was busy carrying clothes which were hung outside into the shop, duly assisted by his employee, Arjun Singh. At that time, two people who suddenly came there, fired at Mool Singh's head and ran towards Hosadurga road. The people of the town were overtaken by fear as the town saw gunning down of a man for the first time.
