Moodbidri, Aug 20: A SSLC student hanged himself to death at Kodyadka near here on Thursday August 19. He has been identified as Sumant Hegde (15), son of Satish and Vidya Hegde, residing near Kodyadka.
Sumant had appeared for examinations online. On Thursday, he visited the school to deliver answer sheets as required. He informed his mother that the social science answer sheet was missing in the bunch.
Later, at about 2 pm, he went to his room and bolted the door from inside. The family members broke open the door and went inside the room at 3.30 pm and found that Sumant had hanged himself.
No reasons could immediately be assigned to this shocking incident. Moodbidri police, who have registered the case, are investigating.
