Mysuru, Sep 28: Relating to the overnight demolition of Huchchagani Mahadevamma temple in Nanjangud taluk towards execution of the Supreme Court order, an officer has been transferred.
The said demolition has caused widespread resentment. The government has transferred local tahsildar, Mohana Kumari. She was transferred on Monday September 27.
The demolition of the temple has been condemned by both the ruling and opposition parties after the demolition attract nation-wide attention. Mohana Kumari has been transferred to the competent authority set up in relation to I Monetary Advisory scam.
In her place, Bhairaiah took over charge as the Nanjangud tahsildar. It may be recalled that there has been demand from various quarters for action against government officials relating to the demolition.
