Mangaluru: Various programmes inaugurated at Vamanjoor DK ZP School

Mangaluru, Sep 28: Inauguration of various programmes of Dakshina Kannada (DK) Zilla Panchayat (ZP) Kannada and English Medium Model School, Tiruvail Vamanjoor was held at the campus of the school.

MLA Dr Y Bharath Shetty lighted the lamp and gave drive to the programme.

Handing over of Akshara Vahini school bus, inauguration of English medium classes and Akshara Vahini school bus stand also was done at the same time.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Shetty said, “Development works of more than eight crore rupees is done in all the government educational institutions of Mangaluru north assembly constituency through CSR grant of prestigious companies of the city. In addition, due to the continuous effort of corporator of this ward and her husband Raghu Salian, this school is risen to this level.

Mayor Premananda Shetty, deputy mayor Sumangala Rao, governor of DK Lions club Vasantha Shetty, MCC member Hemalatha Raghu Salian, chief priest of Amritheshwara temple Balakrishna Bhat, parish priest of St Joseph’s Church Fr James D’Souza, Maulana of Islahul Juma Masjid Hasan Mubarak Sakafi, regional president of Lions club Swaroop Shetty, president of Lions Kavoor Balakrishna Achar, zonal coordination officer Mangaluru south Prashanth, Rotraian Vasudeva Kamath, Pushpalatha, Jagadish Shenava, Raghu Salian and others were present.
