Mangaluru: President likely to stay in city for two days

Mangaluru, Sep 29: During his visit to the state, President Ram Nath Kovind is likely to stay in the city for two days. The officials have begun preparations for the Presidential visit.

The President will arrive by a special flight of the Air Force on October 7 for performing special puja at Sringeri Math. From here he may go to Sringeri by road or helicopter. He will return to the city at night. On the next day too he is expected to stay here.

The officials however added that the President's itinerary has not been confirmed officially and that he might as well directly go to Sringeri from Bengaluru. In the city, no programme has been fixed so far on his visit, they added.
