CWG Irregularities - Delhi Chief Secretary Meets Officials

New Delhi, Oct 21 (IANS) Delhi Chief Secretary Rakesh Mehta Thursday held a meeting with Delhi government officials and asked them to coordinate with the agencies probing the Commonwealth Games financial irregularities.

"The chief secretary discussed the investigations to be carried out by probe agencies with the officials from Delhi government, Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC)," an official said.

"The meeting comes on a day when a team from the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) office visited the Delhi Secretariat to look into the papers of various departments related to the Games," he added.

The CAG team has so far inquired into the files relating to construction works by the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) and the Delhi Development Authority (DDA).
