Oct 16: DK reports 34 corona cases; Udupi adds 10 infections, one death

Mangaluru/Udupi,Oct 16: Dakshina Kannada on Saturday, October 16 reported 34 new coronavirus cases. The case positivity rate for the district stands at 0.45%.

As per the district health bulletin, a total of 19,95,311 samples have been tested so far, out of which 18,80,247 have turned out to be negative.

The total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 1,15,064 out of which 340 are currently active.

As many as 53 patients were discharged from hospitals on Saturday, taking the total number of recoveries to 113049.

The death in the district on Saturday is nil. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,675.

The district administration has collected Rs 1,07,18,970 in fines for 88,262 mask violations.

Udupi

As per the district health bulletin, as many as 11,82,861 samples have been tested for the second wave of coronavirus.

As many as 10 new cases were reported on Saturday, taking the total number of cases to 76,574 out of which 82 are currently active.

A total of 12 patients were discharged from hospitals on Saturday, taking the total number of recoveries to 76,017 for the second wave.
