Mangaluru: Visiting malls, cinema theatres? Ensure both doses of vaccination

Mangaluru, Oct 17: People of the city and elsewhere in Dakshina Kannada should have obtained both the doses of anti Covid vaccination without fail. Those without vaccination cannot enter the malls or cinema theatres.

This decision will be implemented strictly and the officials will keep an eye on people without vaccination and take steps against them.

Initially, because of mistaken notions, many had dithered from getting vaccinated. During the coronavirus second wave, most had volunteered to get vaccinated. People's representatives, organizations etc also took interest, organized camps and vaccinated as many people as possible. Many organizations also made vaccination a compulsory requirement. Because of these things, the district showed good progress in vaccination. But the officials have observed that many have been showing disinterest in getting vaccination. That is why these instructions are being implemented strictly.

Even though Covid positive cases are under control in the city and the district, there is still some infection. There is the risk of the situation turning worse during the festival season. The city corporation therefore wants to get rid of this fear about the possible third wave. The task of identifying those who have not obtained vaccines and ensuring that they get vaccinated is being conducted now. Vaccination Melas have been arranged. After October 16, people moving around without the record of vaccinations will be questioned by the officials.

The deputy commissioner of Dakshina Kannada district, Dr Rajendra K V, has given permission to run multiplexes, cinema halls and theatres with 100 percent capacity. However, only those who have obtained both the doses of the vaccine will be allowed inside.

    @Dr Shetty . I also like you believe in vaccination. Both of us do not gain anything by advising people to take vaccines. As far as the articles you have mentioned, I have gone through them and what is written is true for developed countries. Here in India most of the people are exposed to different respiratory viruses and I believe many have immunity / cross immunity due to exposure. That is why I gave an example of Dharavi slum of Mumbai where there are negligible deaths compared to posh areas like Juhu in the same city.This can only be explained by immunity / cross immunity. The middle path is to get a serology test for antibodies, those who do not have antibodies should be strongly advised to take a vaccine, those who have antibodies it may be optional. The type of vaccine is also I important as mentioned in my earlier comments.

Thank you for the link for an article , but my comments are based on scientific evidences and are facts that are from scientists and doctors in the field any articles won't change the ground reality. It was found mutations of viruses are caused by vaccinations when pandemic is raging, for that reason a prominent doctor in Gates Foundation has written letters to WHO and many govts to stop them immediately. Data from all the countries suggests vaccinated are more vulnerable than unvaccinated due to the toxins in them they cause ADE which fail to respond to the mutated viruses like unvaccinated people's innate immune system. Vaccines have only efficacy rate of 1% which means to save 1 person 9 are to be put to risk by the vaccines for that reason they have to be permanently shelved as risks far outweigh the benefits. UK NHS has links to Gates Foundation (financial funding) there lies the truth for all lies and forced vaccinations in that country and corrupt politicians are bought everywhere. Big tec and MSM too have either invested in the vac industry or paid by them to cover their scamdemic.

    @Kujuma.Sorry for the delay in replying, I sleep early-(early to bed and early to....)I do not think unvaccinated people can cause problems to vaccinated people ( with a real corona based traditional vaccine), they may in fact cause no, or minimal problems to unvaccinated people who have been exposed to corona or similar viruses and have developed immunity/ cross immunity.Immunity does not come by eating or not eating something but by exposure.Just like us Corona also has ancestors (it is not najayaz), this explains the low death rate among Dharavi slums compared to Juhu in Mumbai, and lower deaths per unit population in South Asian countries and India compared to the west.Of course those who have comorbidities or live in a relative"sterile 5 star " environment have to be more careful.

    Thank you very much Dotor...i dont know from where Dr Shetty came into this forum and gave wrong guidance to the readers..anyway this gives lot of relief to people who have not taken the vaccine. most of the allopathic doctors (sorry to say) are sold to the pharma companies as they give big cuts while prescribing medicines...i think Dr Shetty belongs to that group (going by what he has written here), though I am not sure

    Dr Shetty has his views and we have to take his views seriously as he has nothing to gain by advising vaccination. When I joined medical college on merit ( second in Gujarat merit list) , I paid Rs 146 as fees for 1 term ie 6 months, I still have the money receipts, my consultion fees were low and charges for tympanoplasty and stapedectomy were less than ordinary consultation fees of doctors today.Now the problem is of donations ( and coaching classes) for admissions to medical and professional courses, this is recovered from patients. I think when people are diagnosed as covid positive by rtPCR tests they should preferably be treated at home ( there are few exceptions) in this case, they will not get "hospital acquired infections" which are more dangerous and resistant than community acquired infections. Also they will save a lot of money and inconvenience.

    True, what he stated wasn't based on science but on fiction or conspiracy by pharma mafia to market their useless jabs for lifetime as boosters. It is like 1 in a million might have cancer & to prevent that all had to undergo chemo is their logic, another put it 1 in a billion might poop in his pants, we don't know who it is so all have to wear diapers for lifetime. One more - To protect vaccinated from unvaccinated we need to jab unvaccinated which didn't protect the vaccinated in the first place, which means instead of admitting their failure they want to administer the same remedy which failed in everyone to those who didn't fall for their snake oil trick till today. One more word of caution- one scientist advices unvaccinated people to keep away from vaccinated for the first 15 days as they either shed adenoviruses or spike proteins which can infect them too without getting jabbed. Even mRNA vaccine producers advisory asks the recipients not to go near pregnant & others for that period. According to 1 doctor the virus wasn't as widespread as of today, but jabbing more people it was introduced by pharma causing the pandemic. And yes we all have innate immunity against the corona as we all have had it with yearly incidence of cold & flus & for that reason as Dr Monty said slum dwellers & common people are more resistant & recover early as they expose themselves to these strains & get sunshine more than ivory tower dwellers with AC in home, car & offices. Dr Suneel Dhand has high level of antibodies till this month as he tests routinely without knowing he had had corona in last December & he is against getting vacs for himself while not ruling out them for his parents or anybody who asks for his opinion. I'm coming across in my neighborhood more stroke patients & sudden cardiac arrest deaths within a few days or months of vaccinations without having any comorbidities, some were not even reached their 40's.

Yes many vaccinated people have died , as far as I know Dr Rajendra Kapila of New Jersey Infectious Disease Specialist died in Delhi due to Covid he had taken 2 doses of Pfizer vaccine in US, Dr Agarwal ex President IMA died due to Covid , 2 police personnel Mr Shinge and Mrs Shamli working at Mangalore died due to Covid all had taken Covishield. Now Pfizer is a mRNA based vaccine and Covishield is adeno virus based. I preferred Covaxin which is made from Corona virus and is a more time tested method of production. Old is gold, I have faith in timetested things ( and gold).

    A virus requires a host to multiply, it does not go in and out directly from the nose or throat to another person, it multiplies in the host tissue( this is known as infection, mere presence in the nose or throat as determined by rtPCR test from swab indicates colonization not infection).Once it multiplies in the host , it can spread to another susceptible host .If the virus is not allowed to replicate by antibodies produced naturally ( due to exposure) or due to vaccination or due to Monoclonal Antibodies (MABs), it may not infect and other person.( There has to be s "viral load" to cause serious infection.)So it is less likely that a vaccinated person will spread the infection. I am a retired ENT surgeon and not an expert on this subject.

    Dear Friends, This is very good decision. The only way out of this pandemic is mass vaccination. Those who are calling this forced vaccination please note 1. This is not forced vaccination. No body is forcing you to get vaccinated but if not vaccinated you have no right to come into contact with other people and put them in danger. If you dont want vaccine then fine just sit at home. 2. This vaccine passport concept is there allover the world. In UK where I work as doctor, care home workers have been told to quit if they dont get vaccinated, you need to show proof of vaccination if you want to enter night clubs or restaurants or other public places. 3. If you want to fly internationally you need to have vaccination proof and fit to fly certificate 4. This is the only way to open up the economy. Many people will be scared to visit shopping centres but if they have confidence only vaccinated people are coming there then there will be confidence among consumers and economy will be opened 5. Risk from vaccine is very low, I had my 2 doses earlier in the year and as a UK frontline worker also had my 3rd booster dose recently. Time for everyone not be selfish and think of the human population as a whole and not just about themselves. Get vaccinated. Cheers

    The people who do not want to get vaccinated are the ones who have misinformation and mistrust. If you do not want to believe the peer reviewed scientific evidence and want to see a conspiracy theory in everything no body will ever be able to convince you. However remember a simple rule of law, collective good outweighs individual freedoms. Your fundamental duties and rights go hand in hand. You can not say it is my right not to get vaccinated because then you are putting others at risk. As a citizen you have a duty t not harm your fellow citizens. When it comes to your individual freedoms if it is causing harm to others then your freedom will be curtailed. In UK there is NHS. No money involved, everything is free. So by vaccinating public I dont get any extra money. I have myself taken 2 dose earlier in year and recently the booster 3rd dose.

Another study by ICMR found 80% people have antibodies without any jabs which means we have reached herd immunity and no need to vaccinate as natural immunity is far superior which lasts life time than weak immunity created by jabs which lasts only for a few months.     I was amongst the first to suggest that there should be a vaccine for Covid -my letter to PM dt 17 Feb 2020. After a month I had written to many world leaders who appreciated my view ( including Boris Johnson, Trump and Emmanuel Macron- I still have their letters). I and my family are fully vaccinated with Covaxin which is manufactured the traditional way.At the same time I do not feel vaccination should be compulsory, the choice to get vaccinated and the type of vaccine should be left to the person. An informed consent ( explain benefits and side effects) is necessary as it is against medical ethics to administer a medicine or vaccine against the wishes of the person.

But in reality the present jabs or genetherapy drugs doesn't provide immunity as the entry of respiratory viruses isn't through skin or muscles through which vacs are injected. The very pillar of fake unscientific theory of asymptomatic spreading the infections itself is a big lie. Till today nobody has found or isolated the corona virus to prove it causes infections and deaths, which means any vaccines based on fake assumptions won't work.     This is ridiculous. First of all, does it ensure that we will not be affected at all by Covid? Secondly, for most of those who have other comorbidities if something goes wrong with their health do they get insurance? You have no right to force vaccination on all that too when it is still in trials. None of us want to be scapegoats here?     Facts- Vaccines never prevent infections or protect against mutating viruses like corona. Vaccinated spread infections if infected, but unvaccinated healthy people never spread any disease to anyone. When vaccines fail to spread infections or protect vaccinated how can a piece of paper prevent infections or protect anybody? Time for people to get back their freedom from pharma tyranny imposed through corrupt politicians and bureaucrats which is illegal. People need to wake up and expose the pandemic hoax by evil globalists and join hands with all people who are vaxed or not to prevent future boosters and next target our kids with unproven experimental vaccines which aren't needed for an infection with 99.997% recovery rate. Asking for health records is illegal by any authorities and being vaccines are voluntary nobody can enforce them, if they do then criminal cases can be filled against them which is punishable by 1 year imprisonment according to the Disaster Management Act of 2005.

    Sir, you explained it well in your comment point by point. When majority of us are vaccinated, then there will be herd immunity. Secondly, people take vaccination so that, they will not get infected from those who are not vaccinated. How a person will be infected from the ones who are not vaccinated ? Vaccinated people should be safe right sir ? People not vaccinated are in danger or at risk. When they are not allowed in malls/theatres etc etc. theres no danger to those who are vaccinated....Some people have some fear of vaccination (any type of vaccination). They say that they are ready to face anything rather than getting injected. No one can force them or impose some conditions.....Very difficult to make them understand. Many vaccinated people too have died all over the world. Then, doubt comes what is safe ? Some experts say, even vaccinated people are prone to this covid.     When majority of people are vaccinated jow cone a small percentage of non-vaccinated people causing them helath risk ? Does it means vaccinated people are more vulnarable to covid infection ? No doctor is advising against vaccine here. The anti vaccine groups are in a minority and guess what they are also religious fanatics like you. All scientific minded people have had their vaccine. In a pandemic overall good of the public will overtake the individual freedoms. I will give you an example. In my profession I have to keep patient information confidential. In UK patients with epilepsy cannot drive. If I note that one of my epilepsy patients is driving then I am allowed to break the confidentiality rule and disclose to authorities because good of general public outweighs the individual rights of the patient
