Mangalore: RSS Holds a Massive Protest - Decries Terror Allegations

Mangalore, Nov 10: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangha (RSS) Mangalore district held a protest against the policies of Congress chief Sonia Gandhi and youth leader Rahul Gandhi that were "dividing the country" and the alleged attempts to defame the 85-year-old organization. RSS workers in huge number gathered in Nehru Maidan on Wednesday Nov 10.
Addressing the gathering RSS Leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat said that Congress is making deliberate attempts from last few days to defame the RSS and implicate its top functionaries in bogus cases. “It’s a
big conspiracy not only to defame the Sangh but also to divert nation’s attention from burning issues like Kashmir, terrorism, naxalism and rising prices of essential commodities,” he added.
About senior RSS leader Indresh Kumar’s name figuring in the chargesheet filed by Rajasthan ATS in Ajmer bomb blast, Bhat said that the Sangh neither believes in violence nor supports any such activities. He also said that Arundathi Roy who spoke against the country’s integration should be arrested. He lamented that Congress did not even allow celebration of 'Kargil Victory Day’ thereby directly supporting ‘traitors’ and insulting patriots, he added.
Sri Rajashekarananda Swamiji of Vajradehi Mutt in his speech said that we do not want to hear from Obama about our economic progress for it is known to the whole world. Congress is trying to polarize Hindu votes by defaming RSS which has maintained a clean slate all these days. This protest is not conducted with fear of restriction on RSS but to show our power, he added.
In his address, Kolya Ramananda Swamiji said that Kashmir is the head of India and that will remain our's. Hinduism has taught spirit of living to the western countries, he added. "By linking Indresh Kumar
with terrorist activities, the Union government is attempting to tarnish the image of RSS, he lamented. He was reacting to Rahul's comments that the RSS was "fanatical" and was no different from banned
terror outfit SIMI as both held "fundamentalist" views. "This is a direct attack on the Sangh and a political conspiracy to demean the organization," he said.
"The central government has failed to check terrorism in country. They are abusing the Sangh and targeting us. And if we do not come on to the roads, then the country is going to get divided and the next
generation will question us," he added.
Addressing the gathering, Mohandas Paramahamsa Swamiji of Manila Sridhama denied RSS links in Ajmer blast and said that RSS is only remained involved in the social works and bonding the Hindus together adding that RSS never endorses violence.
Speaking on the occasion, Erya Laxminarayana Alva said that the RSS respects other communities. RSS has helped the victims of Tsunami in Pakistan and Bangla wars among others. But the Congress followed divide and rule policy, and now it is frustrated as it is in the verge of extinct, he asserted.
Nityananda Swamiji of Veda Vijnan Mandir, Chikmagalur said that RSS will bring back the true history of country in our school text books and added that the organization will remain till the nation exists.
