Asian Games Archery: India's Tarundeep Settles for Silver


Guangzhou, Nov 24 (IANS) Indian archer Tarundeep Rai lost the men's individual recurve final to South Korea's Woojin Kim to settle for the silver medal in the Asian Games here Wednesday.

Boxing - Vikas Krishnan in Finals

Indian boxer Vikas Krishnan assured himself of at least a silver as he qualified for the final of the men's 60kg bout at the Asian Games here Wednesday.

Vikas won 7-0 against Hurshid Tojibaev of Uzbekistan in the
semifinals at the Foshan Gymnasium.

Vikas started off well, taking a 3-0 lead in the first round and managed just one point in the second. In the final round, Vikas played defensively and scored three points from counter-attack in the last one minute to stay in contention for a gold medal.
