PM Modi meets President Kovind over security breach issue

New Delhi, Jan 6 (IANS): President Ram Nath Kovind expressed "concerns about the serious lapse" when Prime Minister Narendra Modi met him on Thursday to inform about the security breach in his convoy in Punjab.

"President Ram Nath Kovind met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Rashtrapati Bhavan today and received from him a first-hand account of the security breach in his convoy in Punjab yesterday. The President expressed his concerns about the serious lapse," tweeted the Rashtrapati Bhavan handle after the meeting.

Modi's convoy faced a serious security breach in Punjab on Wednesday as it was stranded on a flyover on the outskirts of rally venue with protestors jamming the road for almost 20 minutes. Modi had abandoned the plan to fly to the rally venue due to inclement weather and had taken the road from Bhatinda.

The incident has created a lot of political upheaval.

Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi had imminent threat from known sources that did not stop them from reaching out to people having only 25% of security compared to Modi now. Does Modi has that courage and guts to take that risk for the sake of the people and country????????. Modi has nothing to gain from Punjab, so as a last resort he is trying sympathy card but Sardars will not fall prey for his cheap stunt because they know him very well than other Indians because they spent 18 months outside Modi’s ‘Central Vista’ bungalow protesting against farm laws and still it’s not in works. BTW, this same episode might replay in UP elections too.

What was Modi's Central Security's part, in fact they were the one who come in advance of his travel and security arrangements with local Police. It seems BJP is trying to gain some lost credibility as people were not turned out for his rally!!!

Why is the PM of the nation thinking himself to be so huge ? Wasn't Gandhiji, Indiraji and Rajivji in public life before him ? Did they think themselves to have been made of gold and diamonds like today's PM thinks ? All three are slain and laid their life for the nation. What does Modi want ? As it is, he has purchased a very secure aircraft as well as a car. What can harm him does he think ?
