At least 20 die after bus veers off cliff in Ethiopia


Addis Ababa Jan 25 (IANS): At least 20 people were killed after a passenger bus veered off a cliff in northern Ethiopia, local media has reported.

Authorities are investigating what caused the accident, which also injured six others on Sunday in the Amhara regional state, Fana Broadcasting Corporate (FBC) reported on Monday.

Traffic accidents are fairly common in Ethiopia, many blamed on bad roads, reckless driving, and lax enforcement of safety rules, Xinhua news agency reported.
