Daijiworld Media Network – Mumbai (MS)

Mumbai, Feb 10: Palghar police have registered a case against four members of a family on the accusation of allegedly abetting suicide of their neighbour.

On February 5, according to police sources, Raghunath Jadhav killed himself by consuming poison at Vikramgad taluka. He died in the hospital later as the treatment to revive him failed.

The family of deceased Jadhav filed a complaint with the police, on the basis of which the cops have registered a case.

The accused Gavit family had some altercation with the deceased Jadhav’s family over the compound wall that separates their houses. On January 31 during one such altercation deceased Jadhav was beaten up by the accused family members.

Before his death, in the dying statement, victim Jadhav alleged that the police have not registered his complaint of assault on him by the neighbours and that is why he took the extreme step of killing himself.

Further investigation is on.
