Kasargod: Hit by fish truck, pillion rider dies, rider injured

Kasargod, Feb 23: After a truck loaded with fish rammed into a motorbike, the pillion rider was killed. The bike rider suffered injuries. This accident happened on Tuesday February 22 morning at Hidayat Nagar, Uppala in the district.

The deceased was Syed Babu (40), resident of Huliyar, Tumakuru. Syed Hussain from Tumakuru who was riding the motorbike, was injured.

The two were staying in a rented house near Uppala railway station. They worked in the coconut husking unit. When going towards their work site, the said accident happened, the police personnel stated.

A case relating to the accident was registered in Manjeshwar police station.
