Passing out parade of 13th batch of Udupi district armed police constables held

Udupi, Feb 25: The passing out parade of the 13th batch of Udupi district armed reserve police constables, was held at Chandu Maidan near Bailur here on Friday February 25.

District and sessions court judge, Justice Subrahmanya J N received the guard of honour from the trainees.

Subrahmanya addressing the passing out batch, said, “The passed out trainees are prepared to serve the society. Let us do good work. Set more goals in future to get success. Let us continue the physical exercises every day without any negligence. Follow and adopt the themes of Mahabharata and Ramayana in your life. Do your duty according to your conscience.”

As many as 100 trainees graduated from the Udupi Police Training School.

Udupi district additional superintendent of police, S T Siddhalingappa delivered the keynote address.

In the 13th batch, 25 trainees were from Kolar, 16 from Bengaluru rural, 14 from Chikkaballapur, 12 from Bidar, seven from Dakshina Kannada, six each from Mandya, Chitradurga and Chamarajanagar, four from Belagavi, and two each from Yadagir and Tumakuru.

Commanders Akash N S, DAR from Mandya and Muthesh S from Chitradurga led the four teams.

The training school in Udupi was founded on April 4, 1999. The school has trained five civil police teams, six armed reserve police, one railway police and one KSISF team.

Trophies were given to best trainees in various categories. The parade was witnessed by a large number of dignitaries from various operational units. Parents of the trainees also attended the ceremony.

District superintendent of police, N Vishnuvardhan welcomed the gathering. Srikanth K, DySP Kundapur, proposed the vote of thanks.

A parade was held at Chandu Maidan, led by Commander Akash N S.

Manamohan Rao, coastal security police compered the programme.

Prize winners of various tests

Akash N S, DAR from Mandya bagged the all-rounder trophy, a certificate and the first place in out-door activity. Prakash, DAR from Bidar, secured the second place. Third place was shared by Kumaraswamy G and Anil Kumar from Chikkaballapur.

Ningappa Shiraguppi from Bengaluru rural won the first place, Parashurama A H from Mandya and Sujith Y V from Kolara secured second and third in shooting respectively.

Ashish S and Guruprasad G from Chamarajanagar, Anjaneya from Bidar secured placed first, second and third prizes respectively in indoor performances.
