‘Indian Embassy not responding to us’, says girl from Mangaluru stranded in Ukraine

Mangaluru, Feb 26: A third-year MBBS student has got stranded at the metro station at Botanichyni Sad for three days due to the ongoing crisis between Russia and Ukraine.

The stranded student is Anaina Anna, a resident of Mangaluru.

In her social media message, she wrote that ‘there constant bombing in the cities since 24 February. The students and locals are in bunkers and underground metros for safety’.

She also stated that there is no availability of food and water. "It is -4 degree Celsius here and there is no heating system. Roadways, railways and airways are blocked."

She also said that the Indian Embassy has not responded to them regarding evacuation.

Speaking to daijiworld.com, she said that flights have been cancelled. “From three days, we are stranded in the metro station,” she said.

She also informed that from three days there is no availability of food. She is having just chocolates and biscuits.
